My Friendly Thoughts 23
Have you ever gotten up in the morning and been all out of sorts, and your family declared that "You must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed"?   You probably complained about everything that happened to you!   It is likely that you thought everyone else was wrong about every topic that came up for discussion.   Are you known by your friends and loved ones as a constant complainer?   Well, you are just the person to whom this "Thought for Today" is directed.

Just settle back and take heed.  I'm not preaching, mind you. Just offering a few suggestions on how you can make a few alterations in your lifestyle and receive tremendous benefits as a result.

One of my favored quotes on this subject is from George Bernard Shaw.  "People are always blaming their circum- stances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in the world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, make them."

Isn't that a terrific idea?   You don't have to stick to the diffi- cult conditions that you find yourself in, just kick them aside and create the kind you would like to have.   It's that simple.  You can do it.  There is no doubt in my mind that you have the creative power within you to develop the kind of circumstances that satisfy you and are a blessing to those with whom you come in contact with!

I know someone who will help you accomplish those goals if you will just offer a prayer requesting them.  He is the God that
I worship and adore and I am persuaded that he will respond positively to that kind of request.   He has done it many times in the past and he will still do it.  Wouldn't you like to give it a try at least?   You will not only be glad that you did, everyone that you come in contact with will notice the difference in you and they will be influenced possitively as well.

Come on.  You can do it!

  That's my thought for today.
